Santa Fe Energy Seminar 2005
The sixth meeting of the Santa Fe Energy Series explored "The Energy Future: Strategies and Challenges." The seminar took place at a pivotal time for energy policy, as policymakers in both the United States and Japan considered long-term nuclear plans. Participants examined opportunities and challenges to the expansion of nuclear energy and shared their experiences to look for areas of future cooperation. The topics included: Safety Operation; Nuclear Power - Challenges and Contributions to the World; Peaceful Use and Nonproliferation; and U.S.-Japan Cooperation in Research and Development.
