Washington Policy and Analysis

Satoru Fukui joined Washington Policy & Analysis as an analyst in 2024. He specializes in nuclear policy, nuclear engineering, and nuclear safety.

 

Prior to joining WPA, Satoru worked for the Kansai Electric Power Company for over 13 years, where he mainly served as a nuclear power plant operator and a PRA engineer. Notably, he served as the shift manager for Units 3 and 4 of the Ohi Nuclear Power Station.

 

Satoru earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Engineering in Nanomechanics from Tohoku University.
